The Randolph County Board of Commissioners met in a special meeting at 4:00 p.m. on
March 10, 2015, in the Randolph County Office Building Training Room, 725 McDowell Rd.,
Asheboro. Little Diversified Architectural Consulting and Wright Architecture presented the
schematic design for the new Emergency Services headquarters and encouraged input from the
Board and County staff as they move forward into the design phase. Commissioners Kemp and
Allen were present. Commissioners Frye, Haywood and Lanier were absent. Since there was no
quorum of County Commissioners, no official meeting was held.
Also present were County Manager Hal Johnson; Finance Officer Will Massie; Associate
Attorney Aimee Scotton, Public Works Director Paxton Arthurs, Emergency Services Director
Donovan Davis, Emergency Services Deputy Director Lewis Schirloff, IT Director Michael
Rowland, Infrastructure Services Manager Daniel Shue and Clerk to the Board Amanda Varner.
Also present were Eric Schoenagel and Charles Todd of Little Diversified Architectural
Consulting, as well as Mark Wright and Tony Pacholski of Wright Architecture.
