RANDOLPH COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
MINUTES - May 4, 1981
The Randc,lph County Board of Commissioners met in regular session
May 4, 1981 at 9:00 A.M. with the following members present:
Richard K. Pugh, Chm., Kenyon Davidson, Thurman Hogan, Richard Petty
and Bill Boyd.
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman.
Motion was made by Thurman Hogan, seconded by Bill Boyd to approve
the minutes of the April 6, 1981 meeting. This motion was unanimously
approved.
Motion was made by Thurman Hogan, seconded by Richard Petty to approve
the following road resolutions which were unanimously approved:

Motion was made by Richard Petty, seconded by Bill Boyd to approve
the appointments of the following on the Archdale Planning Board
and the motion was unanimously approved:
H. S. Spencer, Jr. - re -appointment - 3 year term
Wiley Rosenbaum - re -appointment - 3 year term
Keith Hilliard - new appointment - 2 year term
Motion was made by Thurman Hogan, seconded by Bill Boyd to approve
the May budget adjustments (included by reference). This motion was
unanimously approved.
Motion was made by Richard Petty, seconded by Thurman Hogan to extend
the employment of Claudia Harwell, Tax Department employee who has
reached the age of retirement. This motion was unanimously approved.
Chairman Pugh recommended the Hazardous Waste Ordinance be referred to
the Randolph County Health Board.

Motion was made by Thurman Hogan, seconded by Kenyon Davidson to approve
the resolution authorizing the Sheriff's Department to enter into an
agreement with the Department of Justice Police Information Network(PIN)
for a centralized computer system.(Resolution included by reference).
This motion was unanimously approved.
Motion was made by Kenyon Davidson, seconded by Thurman Hogan to
express the appreciation of the Board to Billy Chilton, Frank Boling
and Frank Willis for their past years'efforts in local government.
This motion was unanimously approved.
Motion was made by Bill Boyd, seconded by Thurman Hogan to get an
estimate on asphalt for the driveway behind the District Attorney's
office and this should be handled by the County Manager. This
motion was unanimously approved.
