June 3, 2026 - Special Work Session
The Randolph County Board of Commissioners met in special session at 3:00 p.m. in the first-
floor meeting room at the Randolph County Office Building, 725 McDowell Rd., Asheboro, NC.
Chairman Darrell Frye, Vice-Chairman Kenny Kidd, Commissioner David Allen, Commissioner
Hope Haywood, and Commissioner Lester Rivenbark were present. Also present were County
Manager Zeb Holden, Assistant County Manager/Finance Officer Will Massie, Assistant County
Manager William Johnson, County Attorney Ben Morgan, Associate Attorney Aimee Scotton,
Paralegal Lauren Hughes, Public Information Officer Amy Rudisill, Deputy Clerk Amber Cole,
and Clerk to the Board Dana Crisco.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss Fire Service in Randolph County. The
Commissioners heard information from Fire Marshal Eric Beard, Chief Jared Byrd, and Fire
Inspector III Nick Hill. No action was taken.
Adjournment
At 5:15 p.m. on motion of Allen, seconded by Rivenbark, the Board voted 5-0 to adjourn.
