Minutes - March 9, 1979
The Randolph County Planning Board met March 9, 1979 at 1:00 P.M.
with the following members present: Frank Kime, Lorene Walker,
Ray Farlow, Elmer Routh, Andrew Lueker, and Don Johnson.
1. Bill. Beard(W. H.) , New Market Township - Clearwood Heights - SR 1532
All lots face road - Preliminary Hearing. Variance request to waive
front footage from 100 Ft. to 90 Ft. - proposal for 12 lots - 90 ft. lots.
It has community water system across road and will not have wells.
Mr. Beard said Davidson County will come on down with water system
if Randolph would request it. It was suggested to take hO ft from lot 1.2
and add to lots 4-5-6-7. Frank Kime made the motion to grant variance
on preliminary plans provided he has community water system approved.
2. Westridge Subdivision - Logan White, Developer
Majority is in the County. 34 lots, Sec. B has roads and gravel. -
waiting for the weather to clear. Mr. White has posted $30,000 bond to
guarantee the improvement. Thompson & Arthur has the contract to
pave this. Mr. White wants to record the plans so he can start building.
Frank Kime made the motion the motion, seconded by Ray Farlow, that a letter
of credit be accepted to guarantee improvement. The motion carried.
3. First Camp - 52.66 acres - 4 lot sub-division near Guilford County on
SR 1935 - Level Cross Township - Randolph County - owner John All .
This was surveyed March 1978 by Clotus Craven. Mr. Lueker moved
to approve the preliminary plan. This motion was seconded by Mr.
Kime and unanimously approved.
4. Applying for a grant to finish zoning the northern section of the
County from Northwest(Trinity) across to Liberty. Get additional mapping
and ordinance will stay the same. All developers and others interested
rill have a copy of the ordinance.
