TO: Randolph County Planning Board
SUBJECT: Planning Board Meeting
There will be a meeting of the Planning Board on Wednesday ,
May 21 , 1980 , at 1 : 00 pm in the Board of Commissioners Meeting Room,
County Courthouse , Asheboro , N. C . The following items are scheduled
for Board review as of this date :
AGENDA
1 : Review and approval of Planning Board minutes taken during the
March meeting .
2 : SUBDIVISION LOT SIZE VARIANCE REQUEST
Max Lambeth, Archdale Homebuilders Inc . , is requesting that he
. be given a variance from the dimensional requirements of the County
Subdivision Ordiance. Mr . Lambeth asks that Lot #17 , Giant Oaks
Subdivision, Back Creek Township , Hillsville , N . C. , be reduced from
its current size of 150 ' frontage to two lots of 75 ' frontage .
3 : REZONING REQUEST
Mrs . Ivey B . Riggs , High Point , N. C . has requested that her
property located on the Old Thomasville Road, Trinity Township ,
Zoning Map 1-1 , (adjoining Allred Metal Stamping Co property and
approximately adjacent to Bolivar Street) be rezoned from Residential
Suburban to Light Industrial zoning district classification. The
property is approximately 120 ' X 200 ' , and is currently being used for
one mobile home used as a single family residence and rented .
Piedmont Outdoor Advertising Co. , Greensboro , N.C . was in the process
of constructing a Billboard on this property but had not obtained the
proper zoning or building permits . The County Zoning Ordinance does not
allow Billboards in residentially zoned areas and the Billboard
construction was stopped .
After a recommendation from the Planning Board the Rezoning request
will be taken to the Board of Commissioners for Public Hearing
and final determination.
