08AugustPB - Second Meeting RANDOLPH COUNTY PLANNING BOARD Minutes • August 31, 1983 There was a meeting of the Randolph County Planning Board on Wednesday, August 31, 1983 at 1:30 p.m. in Courtroom B, Randolph County Courthouse, Asheboro, North Carolina. The following members were present: Don Hancock, Chairman ABSENT Doyle Stout, Vice-Chairman Ray Farlow Tal Harrison Henry Darr Joyce Davis Terry Coble 1. Ray Farlow made the motion, seconded by Tal Harrison, to approve the minutes of the August 3, 1983 meeting. This motion was approved. 2. REQUEST FOR CONDITIONAL USE RE-ZONING: Joyce Davis made the motion, seconded by Doyle Stout, to recommend approval of the following re-zoning request: A. Joe Hoffman, High Point, North Carolina, requests a Light Industrial Conditional Use Re-zoning on approximately 10.47 acres located on State Road #1558, Zoning Map 1-1; Trinity Township. The property is currently zoned Residential Agricultural and Mr. Hoffman desired to convert a chicken house into a light furniture frame manufacturing business. The proposed site has a 200 foot setback from the road. The following special conditions were recommended: 1. No sign located on property that would use moving parts or lights. 2. A 50' buffer zone using existing trees and foliage would be utilized to provide a screening to adjoining property. The above motion passed and the Planning Board recommendations will be forwarded to the Board of County Commissioners for Public Hearing on September 6, 1983 at 2:30 p.m. 3.
