Planning Board. Don Hancock was first appointed to the Board when it was first
organized in 1965. He has served as Chairman since 1975.
3. The following requests for property re-zoning were considered:
A. Archie L. Honbarrier, High Point, North Carolina, requested that approximately
11 acre located on the corner of Davis Street and Bethel Drive (Near the I-85
Exit) ; Trinity Township; Zoning Map 1-1; be re-zoned from Residential Suburban
to Light Industrial.
Bucky Umbler, High Point, North Carolina, attended the meeting representing
`. Mr. Honbarrier. Mr. Umbler advised that the property was desired to be zoned
industrial so that it would provide additional connector area to a 40 acre
industrial tract located behind the property. It was felt by members of the
Planning Board that access to industrial property would be more properly
located in this area than from the residentially constructed Bolivar Avenue.
No persons attended the meeting expressing opposition.
Tal Harrison made the motion, seconded by Terry Coble, to recommend approval
of the request. This motion passed unanimously.
B. Calvin Hearne, High Point, North Carolina, requested that approximately 5 acres
on Wright Road, SR #1554; approximately 900' from State Road #1440; Zoning Map
1-2; Trinity Township; be re-zoned from Residential Suburban to Conditional Use
Light Industrial. This would allow the construction of a frame shop on the
property.

meeting representing the owner. No persons attended the meeting to express
opposition to the request.
Charles Adams made the motion, seconded by Doyle Stout to approve the request.
