Ginger Booker, Staff Attorney, PTCOG, was present at the meeting and
continued to review with the Planning Board the revisions to the County
` Zoning Ordinance.
Among the items discussed by the Planning Board was the requirement to
establish a 1000 foot radius between billboards located in Commercial/Industrial
areas. Also the Board felt there should be controls as to the size of billboards
on major highways.
The definition of a Planned Business Development was discussed as it
pertains to a 3 acre minimum. The Planning Board felt that Planned Business
Developments located in the EI District next to the Zoo should be clearly
defined and regulated.
Ms. Booker advised the Planning Board that she would have a final draft

It was suggested that the Planning Board and the Board of Commissioners
conduct a joint meeting to review the ordinance in January, 1987.
4. UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE:
Hal Johnson; Planning Director, reviewed with the Board the possibility of
combining all of the county's Land Development Ordinances into one central
document. The Board agreed that this would help make the county's land use
ordinances more consistant.
The PTCOG will provide the technical assistance in preparing this
document after completion of the Zoning Ordinance rewrite.
5. Being no further business the meeting adjourned at 2:45.
