1 . Chairman Jim Routh called to order the Randolph County
Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting.
2 . Roll Call of Members: Jim Routh, Chairman, present;
Aweilda Williams , Vice Chairman, present; Tim Poole,
present; Lynden Craven, present; Charles Adams,
present; Bill Dorsett, present; Phil Brower, absent;
and Maxton McDowell , Alternate, absent.
3 . Charles Adams made the motion, seconded by Lynden
Craven, to approve the Minutes of the January 5 , 1995
Board of Adjustment meeting. The motion passed.
4 . VARIANCE:
Swearing in of Witnesses - "Do you swear or affirm that
the information you are about to give is the truth, the
whole, truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you
God. Clayton Albright took the Oath.
CLAYTON ALBRIGHT, Ramseur, North Carolina, is

requesting a Variance to allow a new lot of
approximately 3 acres (to be cut from 10 . 55 acres)
without State Road Frontage in lieu of the required 5
acre minimum lot size (of property without State Road
frontage) . Location: 4524 Hinshaw Town Road, 10 . 55
acres, Grant Township, Zoning Map #7699 , Zoning
District RA.
**Arguments for Granting the Request
Albright was present and said that he wanted to sell
the lot for trailers . The proposed lot would be 250
yards off the road on an existing private drive .
**Arguments Against Granting the Request
No one present in opposition to the request.
**Board Discussion: Conclusions Based on Findings of
Fact
Bill Dorsett said that there has been no hardship shown
and under the law the Board could not approve this
request.
**Order of the Board of Adjustment
Bill Dorsett made the motion, seconded by Charles
\...- Adams , to deny this request for a Variance. The motion
passed with a 5 to 1 vote (Lynden Craven voted against
the motion) .
5 . The meeting adjourned.
