CLODFELTER , High Point, North Carolina, is requesting a Variance to allow the subdivision of 11 lots at 22,000 sq. ft. lot size minimum in lieu of the required 30,000 sq. ft. lot size minimum. Bobby Clodfelter and his engineer Hi Marziano were present at the hearing. Clodfelter told the Board he has been developing this subdivision for 17 years and this would be the last section. Clodfelter stated that he sold a portion of this land that would not perk and he would need this variance to make up for his losses . THERE WAS NO ONE_ PRESENT_INOPPOSITION TO THIS REOUEST FOR A VARIANCE .- Bill Dorsett stated that he felt quite a few years had gone by (prior to zoning) with no development in this subdivision. Dorsett discussed his concerns of these 4 lots requiring variances in the future because of not being able to meet setback requirements. Dorsett added that the Board should not allow the granting of a variance from this ordinance just because the developer wants to make a larger profit . Charles Adams stated he shared Dorsetts feelings. Bill Dorsett made the motion, seconded by Charles Adams, to DENY this request for a Variance. The motion passed unanimously. 5 .
