Box 771 43tr. `'a+ Asheboro, North Carolina 27204-0771 RANDOLPH COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT September 8, 1992 MINUTES There was a meeting of the Randolph County Board of Adjustment on Tuesday, September 8, 1992 at 7 : 00 pm, County Commissioners' Meeting Room, Randolph County Office Building, Asheboro, NC. The following members were present: Bill Dorsett, Chairman Charles Adams Phil Brower, Vice Chairman Arlie Culp Jimmy Routh Aweilda Williams Lynden Craven Maxton McDowell Absent: Doyle Stout 1 . Chairman Dorsett asked that those desiring to give testimony to the Board stand and be administered the required Oath as mandated by North Carolina General Statutes 2. Hal Johnson, Planning Director, reviewed the following request for Variance from county subdivision regulations: A: EUGENE HOLDAWAY, Asheboro, North Carolina, is requesting a Variance to allow two 3 acre tracts (subdivided from a 6 acre tract) on a private driver in lieu of the required 5 acre tract size requirement. Location: off SR 2839 (Staley Farm Rd) on Indian Paint Drive; Indian Wells Subdivision Section 2 lot 21; Grant Township; Zoning Map #7669; Zoning District RA. Mr. Holdaway was present and advised the Board that he and another property owner has jointly purchased the tract over 7 years ago. At this time, they had been told by the developer that they could eventually resubdivide the tract to reflect ownership. They were asking to divide their land to legally reflect an existing situation in place for over 7 years. No persons were present in opposition to the request. Lynden Craven made the motion, seconded by Jim Routh, to approve the Variance. This motion passed unanimously. Being no further business, the Board of Adjustment meeting adjourned.
