WORK SESSION
January 19, 1987
The Randolph County Board of Commissioners met in joint session with the
Randolph County Planning Board at 7:00 p.m., January 19, 1987 in the Public
Library Conference Room, 201 Worth Street, Asheboro, NC. Commissioners Frye,
Langley, Davidson, Petty and Comer were present for the work session.
Planning Director Hal Johnson reviewed the proposed changes in the current
County Zoning Ordinance. The proposed changes are designed to correspond with
the new proposed Land Development Plan for the northern and western townships.
Ginger Booker, attorney for PTCOG and author of the proposed new combined
zoning ordinance, outlined major changes from the current zoning ordinance and
answered questions from the two boards.
The two boards agreed to have another joint work session after all the
planned community meetings have been held. The meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
