030587RANDOLPH COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MINUTES March 3, 1987 Community Meeting On March 3, 1987 at 7:00 p.m. the Randolph County Board of Commissioners held a community meeting at Farmer Elementary School to receive input from citizens of Concord, Cedar Grove and New Hope Townships relative to zoning and the proposed land development plan for those townships. Commissioners Frye, Langley, Davidson, Comer and Petty were present. Approximately 65 citizens were present. March 5, 1987 Community Meeting On March 5, 1987 at 7:00 p.m. the Randolph County Board of Commissioners held a community meeting at Liberty Elementary School to receive input from citizens of Liberty and Providence Townships relative to zoning and the proposed land development plan for those townships. Commissioners Frye, Langley, Davidson, Comer and Petty were present. Approximately 45 citizens were present. March 5, 1987 Special Meeting On March 5, 1987, immediately following a 7 p.ra. community meeting on zoning, the Randolph County Board of Commissioners met in special session at Liberty Elementary School. Commissioners Frye, Langley, Davidson, Petty and Comer were present. The County Manager presented a proposed ordinance calling for a moratorium on the development or expansion of junkyards. On motion of Petty, seconded by Davidson, the Board adopted this ordinance. Copy is included by reference. The County Manager informed the Board of the City of Asheboro's public hearing on March 12, 1987 concerning the proposed new extraterritorial zoning jurisdiction and showed the map representing the proposed new extra- territorial zoning jurisdiction lines.
