C10039411M RANDOLPH COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS CLOSED SESSION MINUTES October 3, 1994 At 4:50 p.m. the Board went into closed session to discuss matters relating to the location or expansion of business in the area served by this body, pursuant to NCGS 143-318.11(a)(4). Commissioners Kemp, Frye, Langley, Petty, and Comer were present. Also present were Frank Willis, County Manager; Alice Dawson, Clerk to the Board; Walter Sprouse, President of the Randolph County Economic Development Corporation. Mr. Sprouse advised the Board that the contractor for Southcor has requested incentives from the County. They are building a $10,000,000 plant in phase one, which will employ 40-45 people. Phase two is a $2,000,000 warehouse. Mr. Sprouse stated that he had never promised them anything. He also noted that a portion of this property is in the City. The Board instructed Mr. Sprouse to obtain specific information on what incentives the contractor for Southcor is asking for and how much of the property is in the City and to bring that information back to the November 7 meeting.
