031688RANDOLPH COUNIY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MINUTES MARCH 16, •+► The Randolph County Board of Commissioners met in a special called meeting at 11:30 a.m. on March 16, 1988, in Courtroom B, County Court- house, Asheboro, NC. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the acquisition of the Courier -Tribune property. Chairman Frye called the meeting to order.. On motion of Davidson, seconded by Comer, the Board voted to adjourn to executive session.for the purpose of discussing the acquisition of real estate. The Board came back into regular session. On motion of Langley, seconded by Davidson, the Board voted to purchase the Courier -Tribune property for $350,000.00, to pay a 5% deposit now and to pay the remainder on possession of the property, and to charge a reasonable rent to the seller beginning January 1, 1989 if the County does not take possession by January 1, 1989. On motion of Davidson, seconded by Comer, the Board ajourned.
