At 6:45 p.m. the Board adjourned to closed session to consider the qualifications,
competence, performance, character, fitness, or conditions of appointment of a public officer or
employee pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 143-318.11(a)(6). Commissioners Frye,
Holmes, Mason and Davis were present, as well as County Manager Frank Willis; Alice Dawson,
Clerk to the Board; Cheryl Ivey, Deputy Clerk; Ricky Cox, Representing the County Attorney's
Office; and Staff Attorney Aimee Scotton
The Board discussed the County Attorney position and tentatively decided to appoint Aimee
Scotton as County Attorney possibly at their April 7, 2003 meeting.
On motion of Holmes, seconded by Mason, the Board voted unanimously to resume open
session at 7: 30 p.m.
